The bundle includes two courses for those who are new to safeguarding adults. They are also suitable for anyone who wants to ensure they know how to recognise the signs of abuse and keep people safe.
By the end of the training bundle, participants will understand:
- The role and responsibilities of the Club Welfare Officer
- Why we need to safeguard adults in sport and activity.
- How to Identify poor practice and types of abuse and neglect.
- How to respond and deal with concerns about adults.
- Where to go for further information and advice on safeguarding adults.

This introductory eLearning course is for anyone working in the sport and physical activity sector who wants to gain a basic understanding of why safeguarding adults is important. It will tell you how to recognise concerns, and what to do when concerns are raised.
The course consists of two modules. It covers what adult abuse is, how to recognise the signs of abuse, and how to report a concern.
This interactive course includes videos, quizzes, and case studies to help you understand and learn about keeping people safe.
Safeguarding Adults in Sport – Essential Training for Club Welfare/Safeguarding Officers (England & Wales)
The essential training involves of a three hour online tutor-led training session. It covers how to identify and respond to concerns and disclosures, and how to create a safe culture within a sport or activity club setting in England and Wales.
