Safeguarding Adults in Sport and Activity is a project funded by Sport England, Sport Wales and UK Sport to help National Governing Bodies, Active Partnerships, regional partnerships and sport and activity organisations to develop best practice in safeguarding adults at risk.
Nicola’s post was the first of its kind in the UK. Sponsored by Sport England, her key priorities are reviewing and developing services to safeguard adults in sport. Nicola works with our growing Safeguarding Adults in Sport Team in identifying, planning and implementing new initiatives to support sports and activity organisations.

This online tool supports all sports organisations to implement best practice in safeguarding adults. We developed the Safeguarding Adults in Sport Framework to develop standards for safeguarding adults in the sport and activity sector. We aim to establish and promote best practice to support continual development.
