Your organisation is required to work through the Safeguarding Adults in Sport Framework as per the requirement set by Sport England in your funding agreement.

The Ann Craft Trust sport team will support you with the safeguarding adults assurance process. But it is also important that you see this work as part of your general provision to safeguard all adults in your organisation.

Below we have provided information on the support available to you including a session to introduce you to the Safeguarding Adults in Sport Framework.

Free Framework Awareness Sessions

We are running an online Framework Awareness session specifically for system partners who are completing the Framework process.

The next session will take place on 23 June at 11.00 am – 12.30 pm.

If you’d like to take part in this session, please complete this form to register your interest.

If you cannot make this dedicated session for system partners, you could instead join one of our open online Framework support sessions. These sessions will focus on how to gather and submit your evidence and will also include safeguarding representatives from National Governing Bodies of Sport and Active Partnerships:

Below we will list some of our upcoming training and development opportunities, including a series of dedicated forums for system partners.

Advanced training – For Safeguarding Leads and Deputies

These online sessions explore best practice, the law, and how to respond to and report safeguarding adult concerns. We’ll also discuss creating a safer culture and an inclusive and accessible environment, as well as the importance of effective safeguarding policies and procedures.

Each course takes place across four sessions. You must attend all four to complete the course.

Board and Trustee Training

We can deliver online or in-person board or trustee training. Often, we deliver this in collaboration with the NSPCC Child Protection in Sport Unit.

For more information, please contact our training and consultancy team.

Safeguarding Forums

The Ann Craft Trust and the NSPCC Child Protection in Sport Unit jointly host a Lead Safeguarding Officer Forum every month. Each forum starts at 11.00 am. Most forums take place online, but some take place in person.
