This free online seminar for Safeguarding Adults Week focused on understanding and preventing forced marriage of people with learning disabilities.
Dr Rachael Clawson, Associate Professor at the Director of the Centre for Social Work at The University of Nottingham School of Sociology and Social Policy, discussed the forced marriage of people with learning disabilities.
Dr Clawson also explored similar forms of coercion and abuse, including predatory marriage and deathbed marriage.
Lisa Curtis, Deputy CEO and Head of Safeguarding Adults and Young People at The Ann Craft Trust, also took part in the discussion, and the subsequent Q & A session.
