Chris Harris, Partnership Manager at Broxtowe Women’s Project (BWP), ran a workshop during the 2025 Safeguarding Adults Conference.
BWP is a domestic abuse charity based in Nottinghamshire.
The workshop explored:
- How Domestic Abuse intersects with sport environments.
- The culture of silence, gender norms & power in sport
- How to identify early warning signs of abuse
- Proactive strategies to create safer sport spaces
- How we can “change the conversation” from reaction to prevention
