11 Ways to Make The Most of Safeguarding Adults Week 2024

Safeguarding Adults Week University of Nottingham

Safeguarding Adults Week 2024 will take place 18 – 22 November.

It’s an opportunity for organisations from a range of sectors to join forces to:

  • Raise awareness of key safeguarding issues.
  • Start important conversations about safeguarding.
  • Learn how to recognise signs of abuse and neglect,
  • Develop confidence in recording and reporting safeguarding concerns.

Working in Partnership

We believe that working in partnerships allow us to share our knowledge of safeguarding, learn from others and ultimately create safer cultures.

During Safeguarding Adults Week 2024, we’ll be collaborating with our partners to explore a different safeguarding theme each day. The themes will encourage us to consider how we can work together to establish safer cultures within our workplaces and communities.

Go Green For Safeguarding Adults Week!

We’ve always liked green at The Ann Craft Trust. Our logo is green, our website’s green, and there are prominent greens on all of our resources, training materials, and publications.

A few years ago, The University of Nottingham lit their Trent building in green to support Safeguarding Adults Week.

This year, we’re inviting you to do the same, in any way you can – to go green for Safeguarding Adults Week!

  • Wear green clothes throughout the week!
  • Paint your face green!
  • Make green meals – salad, jelly, or smoothies!
  • If you can, light up your own club or organisation premises in green!

Share the pictures with us on social media – tagged with #SafeguardingAdultsWeek – and we’ll give you a boost.

And if anyone asks you – why green? Just tell them that you’re giving people the green light to talk about safeguarding.
