Ruth joined ACT in January 2020 covering the post of Safeguarding Adults in Sport in Wales manager on an interim basis.
Ruth has worked as a Safeguarding Adults lead in several Local Authorities in England and Wales. She has extensive experience of developing policies and procedures, raising awareness, designing and delivering training and of managing safeguarding adult’s cases.
Ruth is currently self-employed and has worked with a variety of organisations in the statutory, voluntary and private sector supporting them to develop best practice in this area. She delivers Safeguarding Adults training on behalf of Local Authorities in North and West Wales and for the Ann Craft Trust.
Ruth has always enjoyed sports, swimming and playing netball at a County level when at school. She currently enjoys yoga, hill walking and sailing – mostly in North Wales where she lives.
