On May 1st The Ann Craft Trust, in partnership with the University of Nottingham’s Social Work & Social Well Being Research Centre and the National Steering Group on Forced Marriage and Learning Disabilities, is holding a free event in Nottingham on the impact of forced marriage. The event will be hosted by the National Steering Group on Forced Marriage and Learning Disabilities with talks from experts in the fields of learning disabilities, forced marriage and the Mental Capacity Act.
This one day event is open to any professional who works directly with disabled children and vulnerable adults who wants to understand more about the risks, how to recognise potential abuse and effectively safeguard the people they work with.
