Care Quality Commission’s State of Care 2022/2023 Report

State of Care is The Care Quality Commission’s annual assessment of health care and social care in England.

The report looks at the trends, shares examples of good and outstanding care, and highlights where care needs to improve.

Lisa Curtis, Deputy CEO and Head of Safeguarding Adults and Young People, said:

The quality of care that people experience is affected by many different factors. The report highlights the continued problems with access to care and the struggles people are facing. Inequalities continue to be a problem; budgets are prioritised over person centred care and staff wellbeing is suffering.
