BASW is the professional association for social work and social workers.
March 8-12 is World Social Work Week. As part of this, we’re helping launch the BASW England Domestic Abuse Guidance for social workers.
Join us March 18 for an online event to officially launch the new guidance. As well as ACT, the event will include:
- Video contributions from Women’s Aid.
- SASW/Safer and Together.
- Asmaat Khan, a survivor of both domestic abuse and forced marriage, as well as a social worker.
- Dr Michaela Rogers, lecturer at Sheffield University.
The event will feature ‘Top Tips’ from those with lived experience of domestic abuse. There will also be an overview of patterns of domestic abuse over COVID-19, as well as an introduction to the ‘Safer and Together’ model.
