  • The seminar will last for approximately forty minutes, with time for questions and discussion at the end.
  • This seminar is open to anyone regardless of your prior knowledge of adult grooming. Our aim is to raise awareness, so please come along to learn more.
  • The seminar is free to attend.

What is Adult Grooming?

Grooming is a form of abuse that involves manipulating someone until they’re isolated, dependent, and more vulnerable to exploitation. Grooming can lead to many different types of harm, including modern slavery, physical, sexual and financial abuse.

What is the seminar about?

Over the past year, ACT has noticed a sharp increase in the number of safeguarding concerns raised by both safeguarding professionals and the general public related to adult grooming.

We wanted to make this form of abuse a key focus of Safeguarding Adults Week to raise awareness about how adults can be at risk of grooming and exploitation.

This seminar will focus upon raising awareness about adult grooming and how you can spot the signs that abuse may be taking place and how to respond.
