Sports Participation Forum Nottingham

PLEASE NOTE – This event has been postponed until further notice.

Help us develop best practice in safeguarding adults in sport!

We want to develop some shared understanding with a discussion forum with sports participants and staff.

  • What does safeguarding mean to you?
  • And what can individuals, clubs, and organisations do to keep people safe?

Among other things we’ll discuss possible safeguarding risks, and whose responsibility it is to keep people safe. We’ll also explore good practice, and some examples of what happens when things go wrong.

We’ll also hear from British Olympian short track speed skater Charlotte Gilmartin, who’ll talk about her experiences of safeguarding in sport.

When: Thursday 9 April, 2020.

Times: 9.30 am until 12.30 pm

Where: Highfields Sports Complex, Vaughan Parry Williams Pavilion, University Blvd, Nottingham, NG7 2PS.

It’s free to attend this forum, but as we’ve limited places, please book your place by completing the form below.
