This free online seminar for sport and activity organisations will explore the changing landscape of domestic abuse.
Five years after the pandemic, the domestic abuse arena has changed. People are experiencing new forms of abuse, or the types of abuse have developed in such a way that people struggle to understand just what is happening to them.
This online seminar will explore why the way that we talk about domestic abuse matters, and how we can make a difference if we get this right.

Meet the Facilitator
Ms Chris Harris, Partnership Manager, Broxtowe Women’s Project (BWP), will facilitate this seminar.
BWP is a domestic abuse charity based in Nottinghamshire. Chris has worked here for six years. Her role includes supporting groups and businesses to introduce a domestic abuse policy and process that offers protection to both staff and service users. Part of this work includes aligning the policy as part of an overall Wellbeing strategy and overlap with safeguarding procedures.
Domestic abuse awareness training underpins all the work she undertakes and being part of BWP ensures that sessions are based in real experiences.
