Biography
Rachael Clawson - BA (Hons) Social Policy and Administration, DipSW.
Master of Social Work
Rachael has a range of experience in the safeguarding field having worked as a local authority social worker both in mainstream and disabled children teams for a number of years before taking up her previous post as a Team Manager for the Disabled Children’s Team in Nottinghamshire. She is involved in a variety of work initiatives including devising and facilitating training programmes on safeguarding disabled children, policy writing, campaigning, consultancy work and research and is a member of a number of groups including the National Working Group on Child Protection and Disability, the Disabled Children’s Sub Group of Nottinghamshire Safeguarding Children Board and the Crown Prosecution Service External Consultation Group on Children.
Rachael is also a Special Lecturer on the Ma and BA Social Work programmes at the University of Nottingham.
